Tom Lathen - Media Specialist

Since attending his first dirt track race in 1969, Tom has been actively involved in the sport, in various capacities, for nearly 40 years.  He began his race announcing career in 1976 at The Speed Bowl in Red Cloud, Nebraska and over the years has also announced at Mid-Continent Race Track in Doniphan, Nebraska, Dawson County Speedway in Lexington, Nebraska, Buena Vista County Raceway in Alta, Iowa, Butler County Speedway in Allison, Iowa, and Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa.  Tom has also written columns for a number of regional racing publications including Hawkeye Racing News, and has had feature articles published in FasTrack magazine and Dirt Late Model magazine.  He currently serves as Series Announcer and Media Specialist for the WORLD Dirt Racing League PolyDome Late Model Series.

Tom received his media training at Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska, where he received a diploma in Broadcast Communications. 

Sam Robinson - Web Developer

Although his involvement in racing has been limited, Sam has been involved with web development, new media, and document design since 2001. He has done free-lance web site development for numerous successful commercial businesses throughout the midwest.

Sam is currently in his final year at Iowa State University, where he will complete a Bachelor's of Science in Technical Communication, with an emphasis in web site development and psychology.
